Selecta One Strengthens the International IP foundation of RCS® 2.0
ShareShareShareShareShare

Selecta one continues to expand the international IP protection for RCS® 2.0, with granted patents already secured in key global markets as Europe and the US and further applications pending across additional strategic jurisdictions, amongst others Colombia, China and India.

RCS® 2.0 represents a new technological approach to rooting and young plant production. For Selecta one, the ongoing expansion of the related IP portfolio is therefore more than a legal exercise. It is a strategic step in protecting technological differentiation, supporting international scale-up and strengthening the long-term commercial foundation of the system.

In addition to patent protection, Selecta one has also secured design rights for the appearance of the paper pockets in multiple international markets. Beyond the rights already granted, the company is further expanding the portfolio along additional components of the broader RCS® 2.0 system. Corresponding applications relating, among other things, to production technology and tray solutions are currently under examination in several jurisdictions.

The growing IP portfolio reflects Selecta one’s ambition not only to develop innovation, but to translate it into a protected, scalable and commercially relevant technology platform. In this context, intellectual property is a central element in supporting future market development, strategic partnerships and long-term value creation.

“The granted patents mark an important milestone for us,” says Per Klemm, CEO of Selecta one. “They underline the substance and originality of our development and strengthen the basis on which we will continue to advance RCS® 2.0 internationally. For us, intellectual property is not only about protecting innovation, but about building a robust foundation for its long-term strategic and commercial development.”

With RCS® 2.0, Selecta one reinforces its position as an innovation-driven company in young plant production. The systematic expansion of the related IP portfolio underlines the company’s commitment to securing innovation internationally and turning it into practical, scalable and economically relevant solutions.
