MACFRUT, the professional show for fruits and vegetables, has just opened. The show, taking place from 8 to 10 May 2024 in Rimini (Italy), will attract thousands of professionals from around the world.
Year after year, Macfrut is becoming increasingly international, with more exhibitors and visitors coming from abroad. Moreover, this year, the International Focus of Macfrut will be dedicated to the partner countries of the Arabian Peninsula, towards which the exports of the Italian fruit and vegetable sector grew by +36% in the first six months of 2023, totaling 51.2 million Euros.
The highlights of the 2024 edition include a focus on table grapes, with an International Symposium dedicated to the entire supply chain; two new exhibitions: Agrisolar Systems & Technologies, showcasing modern agricultural solutions, and the Innovation Hub for Healthy Food, focusing on functional foods. Several themed exhibitions dedicated to innovations in various sectors of the industry have been confirmed: the Biosolutions International event, the Acqua Campus, the Spices & Herbs Global Expo, the Red Planet, and the Plant Nursery area showcasing innovations in the plant nursery industry.
From the United Arab Emirates, Gulf Agriculture Magazine managing editor, M. Matt has been invited to cover the entire show.
“The show seems very promising as it focuses more on innovation and sustainability by offering the latest trends and making contact with global leaders in the industry,” M. Matt added.
