ShareShareShareShareShare
Tarhuna, Libya – Officials from the Great Man-Made River Water Utilization Authority, accompanied by Andalus Agro-Technic and AlFath Agriculture for supplies , conducted a field visit today to the Wadi Tajmoud project site in the Tarhuna mountain region, where preparations are underway for an ambitious one-million olive tree cultivation project.
The visit focused on reviewing the project’s water utilization strategy and agricultural infrastructure, which is set to introduce Valley linear pivot irrigation technology for large-scale olive farming. Once implemented, this initiative will mark the first project of its kind in the region to grow olives using linear pivot irrigation systems.

The project represents a major step forward in sustainable agriculture, efficient water management, and food security, while positioning Tarhuna as a regional hub for advanced olive cultivation.
