The 18th edition of Bricoday, the most important B2B trade fair in Italy for the DIY, technical, garden, home improvement and home decoration sectors, is expected to be one of the most comprehensive ever, thanks to a broad, qualified and constantly evolving exhibition offering.
Registrations in line with the record edition
Before the summer break, registrations for the event (here is the provisional list (https://bricoday.com/en/exhibitors/) were in line with the record 2025 edition. More than 100 companies will be participating for the first time, a figure that confirms the event’s strong appeal and suggests a particularly rich edition. These figures consolidate Bricoday’s role as a benchmark for the Italian and international specialist distribution sector and demonstrate the market’s confidence in the event’s growth path.
International dimension
In recent years, the organisers’ efforts have focused on strengthening the event’s international dimension, both in terms of exhibitors and visitors. Today, approximately 20% of the brands represented come from abroad, mainly from European countries, with France, Spain and Eastern Europe in the forefront. Among buyers too, the European component represents the main area of origin, alongside the confirmed presence of many continental retail chains and distributors active in the DIY and household sectors.
An increasingly business-oriented trade fair
For the second consecutive year, Bricoday will take place in the pavilions of Fiera Milano Rho, covering an area of 25,000 sqm. The product-based division of the exhibition spaces has been designed to make the visitor journey for buyers and industry professionals even more effective and to enhance the positioning of exhibiting companies. The organisers’ objective is to offer an increasingly specialised, functional and business-oriented trade fair, where networking and exhibition effectiveness are the distinguishing elements.
From DIY GDS to a multichannel B2B platform
Born as a trade fair for DIY GDS, Bricoday has progressively broadened its scope, including an increasing number of product categories dedicated to the home. Today it is a multichannel B2B event aimed at the main operators in the non-food distribution supply chain, capable of offering a comprehensive overview thanks to the participation of large multinational groups, leading Italian companies and highly specialised niche businesses.
New developments at the trade fair
Bricoday will offer an important convergence between environmental sustainability, materials engineering, retail digitalisation and attention to domestic well-being. From smart home technologies to the green transition of building materials, from developments in fastening systems to personal and home protection, and from AI-driven automation for points of sale to new solutions, Bricoday will bring new products, services and technologies into comparison with the needs of stores, professionals and consumers.
Bricoday 2026: the leading sectors
DIY and Technical
Alongside the established presence of the leading brands in the sector, the 2026 edition will also see the participation of important new international brands. The most widely represented categories include, as traditionally, wood, technical chemicals (silicones, glues and adhesives), power tools, fastening, profiles, hardware and small hardware items.
Home
The Home sector confirms its growing dynamism and also includes the exhibitors of Bricoday Luce, the thematic show dedicated to indoor and outdoor lighting. Among the most represented segments are bathroom and space organisation, while household products continue to grow, representing an increasingly significant share of registrations. This trend reflects the evolution of the DIY channel towards an increasingly broad and diversified offering: under the Home umbrella, in fact, the 2026 edition records numerous and important new entries and a significant increase in interest from the distribution sector.
Garden
The Garden sector also has a strong presence, confirming the excellent figures of the last edition. On display is a complete offering including outdoor furniture, swimming pools and accessories, fertilisers, soil and tools for green-area maintenance, both manual and electric, in a segment that continues to show positive signs of growth.
Bricoday Digital: innovation for retail
There is also great interest in the fourth edition of Bricoday Digital (formerly Digital Village), the area dedicated to digital innovation in retail and eCommerce for the DIY and hardware sectors.
Conferences and market scenarios
The exhibition area will be accompanied by a rich programme of meetings, conferences and discussions with sector experts and analysts from leading research companies.
“Bricoday confirms the growing interest from companies in the sector and distribution operators,” state the organisers. “A result that demonstrates the event’s ability not only to evolve together with the market, but also to anticipate its development trends, interpreting the changes that are redefining the sector in terms of supply and demand, distribution channels, services, innovation and languages. A vision that strengthens Bricoday’s role as a reference platform for business and professional networking.”
