Huete Greenhouses will lead the implementation of a new one-hectare multi-tunnel greenhouse to be built in Japan for hydroponic lettuce cultivation.
This project, which will feature NFT gutters as a production system, represents a significant advance in agricultural production technology, combining a robust structural design with advanced technological solutions for climate control and automation, all adapted to local requirements and regulations.
Innovative structure and ventilation
The greenhouse will feature a reinforced multi-tunnel structure, which is made up of galvanized steel posts, foundation plates and additional beams for optimal stability. Designed to maximize efficiency, the greenhouse incorporates high-strength gutters with anti-condensation technology, which not only ensure efficient drainage, but also act as an essential longitudinal reinforcement for the structure. This system is designed to withstand adverse weather conditions, ensuring greater durability of the installation.
Ventilation will be another of the project’s highlights, with a butterfly-type motorized skylight system and two-stage perimeter ventilation, which automatically adapt to environmental conditions. This system allows temperature and humidity to be maintained within ideal parameters, promoting healthy crop growth and protecting them from extreme conditions.
High energy efficiency equipment
The facility will be equipped with a PVC pipe system for collecting rainwater, as well as double horizontal screens designed for energy savings. These screens, made of materials with high resistance to oxidation and UV rays, moderate temperatures between day and night, creating a uniform microclimate inside the greenhouse and optimizing the transmission of diffuse light.
In addition, recirculating fans will be installed to prevent air stratification, allowing for a homogeneous distribution of temperature and humidity in all areas of the greenhouse.
Advanced climate and electrical control system
The greenhouse will feature a climate control system, including state-of-the-art weather stations and sensors to measure wind speed and direction, temperature and humidity, and other critical environmental parameters. This system is complemented by management software that automates climate settings and allows operators to monitor and adjust greenhouse conditions in real time, ensuring maximum crop yield and quality.
Regarding the electrical system, J. Huete Greenhouses will provide individual protection panels for each electrical component, including windows, screens, and ventilation systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the entire electrical network.
Commitment to technological agriculture in Japan
This project not only represents an expansion of J. Huete Greenhouses’ presence in the Asian market, but also a commitment to offer advanced and sustainable technological solutions that meet the needs of the Japanese market. With this collaboration, J. Huete Greenhouses reaffirms its mission to lead the development of high-tech agricultural facilities, providing value and efficiency to its clients in each project.
