The Arrigoni Group has been operating in the technical textile sector since 1936. In 1959 the production of polyethylene mesh fabrics began and today the Group is leader in the design and manufacturing of protective screens. The Headquarters are in Uggiate Trevano (Como, Italy), near Milan and close to Linate and Malpensa airports. The three production plants, located in Schio (Vicenza, Italy), Putignano (Bari, Italy) and Târgu Mures (Romania), insist on a total area of 110,000 square meters, for a covered area of 39,000 square meters. The direct employees are 160, while the annual production capacity is over 6,000 tons per year of mesh fabrics. With a strong growth in turnover and constant investments in R & D, Arrigoni is present today with its sales network in 72 countries around the world.
Today, Paolo Arrigoni – CEO of the Group of the same name – pursues a tradition of success that has continued for over 80 years and is projecting more and more the company’s products even in emerging markets. He is the son of a weaver and a pharmacist, has humanistic education and he loves nature. From the beginning of his professional career, Paolo Arrigoni therefore had to combine the two concepts at the base of the Group’s activities: health and … looms. Hence, the concept of “harmony” has developed, which means to allow a crop to grow and develop in a favorable environment. It is no coincidence that the innovative Arrigoni agrotextile screens allow plants to “dialogue” and relate to the “territory”. Plants absorb the most authentic force of nature – air, water, sun – but at the same time they are protected from external climatic events and attacks by insects.
Two, in particular, are the sectors in which the Arrigoni Group operates: Agrotextiles and Techtextiles.
Within Agrotextiles, Arrigoni offers innovative agrotextile screens for the climatic and biological control of crops, such as Biorete® (high air permeability insect screens), the Prisma® range (thermo-reflective screens), the Protecta® range (rain control systems) and a wide selection of protective nets (anti-hail, windbreak, shading nets and anti-frost). Along with these systems, utility nets for crop support, harvesting of fruits and mulching fabrics. There is also a whole range for gardening.
In the Techtextiles field, the Arrigoni Group is a partner of the industry, the building sector and outdoor professionals. Specifically, for the industry it designs and builds nets for technical use, such as anti-dust barriers useful in the steel or mining industry, as well as products for the production of multilayer composite materials. For the building industry the Group provides nets for the protection and safety on construction sites, ideal for scaffolding, safety delimitation, load protection and protection of plasters. For the outdoor living, Arrigoni offers elegant, useful, versatile and essential fabrics for shading, shielding, outdoor furnishings and scenographic effects.
The projects that the Arrigoni Group has also planned for the future are very ambitious. For the three-year period 2018 – 2021, more than 10.5 million euros of investments are expected, plus 1.5 million euros dedicated to Research and Development. The Group today collaborates with 12 universities and research institutes, annually participates in over 30 trade fairs all over the world and boasts an active customer portfolio of over 2,600 units.
